I would love to be an author interviewed for this blog [which I never knew existed until I saw the posting on Facebook]. Ditto, if you want to review RAV HISDA'S DAUGHTER, I can you send a galley.

Wow! I am currently reviewing "The Emperor of Lies," which is a fictional account (based on fact) of the Lodz Ghetto. Their currency was "affectionately" known as "Rummies," after the Chairman of the Jewish Council, Mordechai Chaim Rumkowski, who hoped to make Lodz a model city where there were factories and cultural centers.

Greetings, Sarah, from a fellow blog carnival participant discovering your blog for the first time. I appreciate the breadth of your perspective and rare ability to draw connections between ancient worlds and our ever-changing own. But what will most stay with me is the delightful visual metaphor of the beautiful lady astride two horses. May she keep hold of the reins!

Thank you for sharing this with the Jewish Book Carnival. I doubt I would have encountered Magness's book otherwise.

Well done, and you managed to create competition. "Martyrdom of a Moroccan Jewish Saint" also caught my eye. Michal and I will be racing each other to the new acquisitions.
